The Online Business HND – A High-Class Qualification You Can Study When And Where You Wish

Qualifications are the key component of professional advancement. For some professions, such as medicine or law, it is impossible to practice without them. For most others, particularly in the world of business, the lack of the relevant qualification will keep you bumping along among ‘the stiffs’ – never ‘marked for the top’, never fully trusted nor listened to. The reason is that a qualification says to the world, to your boss and to clients, this person knows what he or she is talking about.

The problem, for those without qualifications but who nevertheless wish to obtain them, generally revolves around the time/money axis. Work begets money but also soaks up most of your waking hours in one form or another. If you have time, you probably don’t have money, career or ambition in the first place. Getting qualified also demands your time – and also costs money.

To overcome this dilemma, the wisest option may be to tread a middle course: keep the money coming in by working, yet look to the future by studying part-time. HND courses, both affordable and credible are probably the best value out there. A quality and internationally-recognised qualification, your HND can also easily be converted into a full honours, usually with only one further year of study. Taylor Mackenzie, who studied a Business HND in at the Brighton School of Business and Management says that the business HND was perfect for what he needed.

Mackenzie says his ‘zone’ was either side of his working day when his ‘brain was buzzing’. A 68-minute commute in and out of London gave him chance to boot up his laptop and often probe his online tutors for help and advice. Since achieving his HND, Mackenzie has been promoted, then head-hunted, and is about ‘top-up’ to a degree in Marketing, also part-time. I learnt so much on the course,’ he says. ‘It changed my life and it totally transformed my career.’ Advancing one’s professional credentials in the high-pressured world of business isn’t easy. An online HND is probably the most effective and cost-effective move you can make.
